Short bio
Belén Gallego (female) studied Physics. She is skilled in information architecture, usability and user needs gathering. She has also experience in eLearning, eHealth, social networks and community management. She has participated in exploitation, dissemination and communication activities in several European projects like DAPHNE (Data-as-a-service platform for healthy lifestyle and preventive medicine), MOBIGUIDE (Guiding patients every time, everywhere), PAUTA (a pill dispenser for polymedicated patients), GaLA (Games and Learning Alliance), SECONOMICS (Socioeconomy meets security) or EU4ALL (European Unified Framework for Accessible Lifelong Learning). Recently she acted as project manager in some eHealth national and international projects like TELMA (elearning and multimedia for minimally invasive surgery training) or HAIVISIO (a CSA to give visibility to eHealth and Active Ageing and Independent Living European projects). As a speaker she participated at the 2nd International Congress of Person-Computer Interaction (Salamanca, 2000), Learning'00 (organized by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) and the 1st edition of the National Congress on Special Needs and Technology of the Information, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (Madrid, 2003). She has published some dissemination articles on the social impact of new technologies and the incorporation of the women to the technology market.
